I started a new role at Digiusher as a SWE, after interning for nearly 3 months. It’s been a lot of fun, and I’m getting to dive deeper into the product side and see what well designed software looks like.
I also completed my Bachelors, and am currently working remotely. This has given me the time and opportunity to pursue some of my interests, through reading DDIA and going through iximiuz labs.
I’m currently learning a lot of things, some of them:
- how to design software, from a product point of view
- improving my documentation skills (don’t be fully dependent on AI)
- testing (and PBT, a fun topic which I like discussing with the Antithesis folks)
- concurrency, as a general concept as well as its use in Go
- observability - I don’t really understand how to instrument things well for this. Some of Charity Majors’ ideas click for me, but I’ve been unable to implement them in the projects I’m doing so far.
- databases - an obsession which I want to keep for atleast a decade
- memory and perf optimization (which relates to all of the above)
I’ve lost my 700+ day chess.com daily puzzle streak recently, which I deeply regret.
I’m writing a research paper on some ML work that I did a couple years ago. It’s not much, but it’s honest work.
